Enrolling at Park Ridge State High School

Park Ridge State High School has an Enrolment Managed Plan in place. 

Catchment area

Student’s principal residence is within the defined local catchment area.  Please check to see if you reside within the PRSHS local catchment area. The interactive map will show you where your nearest high school is located.

Residing in Catchment

All applications for enrolment MUST include the following:
  • Completed Application for Enrolment
  • Copy of Birth Certificate (Original must be sighted by school staff)
  • Report Cards – Latest Two Semesters
  • Proof of residency*
    1. One primary source – a current lease agreement, rates notice, or unconditional contract of sale, and
    2. One secondary source – a utility bill (e.g. electricity, gas) showing this same address and parent’s/legal guardian’s name
  • The school reserves the right to verify any documents provided to validate a family’s/ student’s residency details.
  • Visa/Passport (if applicable)
  • Custody Papers/ Court Orders/ Learning Disability details (if applicable)
  • Application for Program Of Excellence (if applicable)


Residing out of catchment

Parents/Guardians of students who reside outside of the school’s catchment area who are applying for enrolment should attach a cover letter to the enrolment application outlining the reasons you are requesting your child to be enrolled. You should add any additional information in support of the proposed enrolment.
Please note:  There are a limited number positions available for out-of-catchment students across our 3 Programs Of Excellence.  If you wish to apply for a position in a program of excellence please download and complete the application form, and submit it with your enrolment application.

Programs of Excellence


Park Ridge State High School operates three programs of excellence.  Any prospective student is able to apply for a Program of Excellence.  Positions will go to merit.

  • Instrumental Music Excellence (IMEx)
  • Ignite (Academic Excellence)
  • AFL (AFL Academy)

Applying for enrolment 


Step 1.  Application forms and supporting documentation

Download and complete Enrolment Forms - Part A and Part B and submit all required documentation to the Administration Office as outlined above.  Alternatively you can collect an enrolment pack from the office.  You must submit all forms and supporting documents (detailed above). If you do not do this at the time of application, the enrolment process will be delayed.

Step 2.  Application Processing

After a completed application for enrolment has been submitted it will be forwarded to the Principal.  You will be advised in writing as to the outcome of the application.

Step 3.  Enrolment Interview

Successful applicants will be contacted by the school to organise an enrolment interview.

*Proof of residency requirements: Parents or legal guardians who wish to enrol their child at the school are required to demonstrate that the student’s principal place of residence is within the catchment area.  The school reserves the right to verify any documents provided to validate a family’s/ student’s residency details.

All new students will be eligible to start on the first school day of the week following the interview.
