Welcome to the Park Ridge SHS website, the site is designed to provide you with important information about our school and the educational opportunities available to our students.

The site includes information about our learning focus, curriculum offerings, responsible behaviour plan, school report and newsletters.

The 3 core values of Park Ridge SHS are,

We are here to learn, do what is right and work together.

Our focus as a school is built on these three actions. We see our students as professional learners and driving a culture of high expectations to ensure that each student has strong learning outcomes is paramount.

Learning Design is the teaching and learning framework that governs our approach to learning. It focuses on the understanding that our students will achieve when we continuously assess their skills and knowledge and collaboratively target and adapt learning opportunities to meet those needs.

Our students engage in learning through:

  • An explicit approach to teaching and learning.
  • A ‘No Opt Out’ culture where students are encouraged to participate, risk an answer and learn from mistakes
  • A focused approach to developing skilled readers.
  • A culture of timely feedback and a responsive approach to student learning needs.

Our school provides a dynamic and innovative curriculum with schools of excellence in:

  • AFL
  • Instrumental Music (IMEX)
  • Learning through innovation and technology (IGNITE).

Our school will host its first Science Fair in Semester 2 at our new Science Trade Training Centre.

The school is well equipped with excellent sporting facilities, a theatre, hospitality and early childhood centres and an air-conditioned purpose built Junior Secondary Precinct.

I am excited about the direction of Park Ridge SHS and the opportunities it provides for our diverse and talented students. I am thankful for the support of our families and community partners who invest in growing our learners.
