Park Ridge State High School believes that everyone should have access to computers to support their work and learning in the 21st century.
To support this, we're launching our Connected Communities initiative!
What is the Connected Communities initiative?
Thanks to our IT staff and Electronics Hub students, Park Ridge State High School is offering 150 end-of-service desktop computers to Park Ridge families, primary school students and community groups - for FREE!
Our aim is to help children, families and groups get connected to the information highway of the internet as well as building strong computer skills of students.
It's our way of supporting digital learning in the 21st century.
These computers are 'end-of-service' for the school and no longer suitable as a full-featured machine, but will perform basic tasks like word processing or internet browsing just fine - a great second (or first!) computer to have in the home.
Dell, Lenovo or Acer desktop tower:
- Intel i3 3240/4130-4170
- 4GB RAM
- 500GB Hard Drive
- Windows 10
- (optional, while stocks last) keyboard/mouse/Wi-Fi card
Participants are invited to collect one computer where they have a genuine need or where the device will be used to support children's development or for use in a community group.
