Health and Physical Education is considered an integral part of the school curriculum, playing an important role in preparing students for their adult life.
Year 7
In year 7 students study two units focussed on approaching adolescence and respectful relationships. They also participate in basic ball skills and minor games.
AFL Academy Students study additional units focussed on an introduction to AFL and relationships/team dynamics. Students participate in AFL skills and games.
Year 8
In year 8 students study units focussed on nutrition, risk taking and movement strategies. They also participate in field sports, fitness and dance.
AFL Academy Students study units aligned with HPE. Students participate in AFL skills and games.
Year 9
In year 9 students study units focussed on adolescent safety - drug education and relationships/sexual health. They also participate in international sports.
AFL Academy Students study additional units focussed on sports nutrition and sports psychology. Students participate in AFL skills and games.
