What is Health?
Health provides students with a contextualised strengths-based inquiry of the various determinants that create and promote lifelong health, learning and active citizenship. In studying Health, students will learn about:
- resilience as a personal health resource
- peers and family as resources for healthy living
- community as a resource for healthy living
- respectful relationships in the post-schooling transition.
What makes a student suited to Health?
Students who achieve success in Health are students who are interested in exploring current health issues within local and global communities. Students need to be able to analyse data and create innovations to improve health trends concerning different focus areas.
