What is Information and Communication Technologies?
Information & Communication Technology (ICT) focuses on the knowledge, understanding and skills related to engagement with information and communication technology through a variety of elective contexts derived from work, study and leisure environments of today.
Students are equipped with knowledge of current and emerging hardware and software combinations, an understanding of how to apply them in real-world contexts and the skills to use them to solve technical and/or creative problems. They develop knowledge, understanding and skills across multiple platforms and operating systems, and are ethical and responsible users and advocates of ICT, aware of the social, environmental and legal impacts of their actions.
Students apply their knowledge of ICT to produce solutions to simulated problems referenced to business, industry, government, education and leisure contexts.

In this unit, students explore and develop your knowledge of Website
design/development processes through the introduction of HTML and CSS coding
languages.
Introduction
to JavaScript:
Students are introduced to the JavaScript programming language. They will
create and modify code that includes functions, parameters, variables, sprites,
interactivity and x and y positioning, to create simple animations and games.
They will test and predict the outcome of code in order to implement digital

to Databases
Students will learn how to create relational databases and perform searches
using SQL. Students will understand the

In this unit students will develop skills of data analysis. They will be able
to take complex data provided through tables and charts and analyse it to
provide meaningful insights. Students
will then be able to provide evidence-based solutions to data problems.
