Rules and policies

The rules and policies for Park Ridge State High School have been developed in consultation with the school community through the P&C association.
Understanding and abiding by our school rules and policies forms an essential part of the enrolment agreement.
Please read these policies thoroughly before completing the application for enrolment.

Attendance Policy

At Park Ridge SHS we are committed to providing quality educational experiences to all of our students to ensure they are achieving at their highest potential. Students must attend school to benefit from these opportunities. As a school focused on learning we are committed to high attendance rates through a supportive, thorough and systematic attendance process.

Attendance Goal: 92-100% attendance in the school year
Senior students upon enrolment into year 11 and 12 commit to the understanding that attendance is central to the success of the senior phase of schooling and attainment of the Queensland Certificate of Education. Senior students agree to the condition that continuing enrolment, participation in extra-curricular activities (including excursions and attendance at the Year 12 Formal) and the purchase of a senior jersey are dependent on:

• Maintaining a minimum of 92% attendance
• Justifying all absences with a medical certificate
