Depending on the damage, check to see if it is covered by the Warranty or Accidental Damage Protection (if brought for the device).

If covered, arrange repairs through the brand of the device or contact the store or person the device was brought from.

While arranging repairs or repairs are being completed, the school may be able to provide a temporary loan device for repairs that are going to take longer than one week.

Evidence will need to be provided to confirm that the device is getting repaired or you are waiting for it to be repaired.  Evidence could be an email from the repairer confirming the device has been booked for repair, that includes an estimated timeframe on when repairs should be completed.

If damage is not covered, repairs can be arranged with the various repair shops in the area.

We suggest that if you can online search for phrases like 'computer repairs near me' and/or 'device repairs near me'.  If this is not successful, there are often repair providers at local Shopping Centres.

Students can bring their damaged device in to the IT Help Desk and we can do an assessment on the device and then provide some direction on what repairs may be needed.

Please note that this information is provided as general advice ONLY to Students and Parents.
